Good value NVMe hosting

I was looking for NVMe shared hosting and Hostmantis caught my eye with their pricing. Got a recurring discount, which was a nice surprise. Set up was quick, and the performance for the price is really good. Felt like I got solid value for my money, no complaints there.

Got my site online fast

Needed to host a small site, so I grabbed some NVMe Shared Hosting. It was super easy to get going, didn't even need to talk to anyone. My site's up and running, and it loads pretty quick. Happy with it, no dramas.

Always reliable for reseller

This was my third time getting Reseller Hosting from Hostmantis. They're consistently reliable. My sites always stay up, and the cPanel access is familiar. It's why I keep coming back, frankly. No surprises, which is what you want with hosting. My previous experiences were just as smooth.

Decent service, minor hiccup

I signed up for a Managed VPS Hosting plan. The setup was mostly smooth, and the LiteSpeed Web Server definitely delivered on speed. I did have a small issue with a domain transfer initially, took a bit longer than I expected to get it sorted out with support. Overall, the hosting itself is solid, but that initial support response could have been quicker.

Detailed Managed VPS experience

I purchased a Managed VPS Hosting plan a few weeks ago for a new project. The ordering process was straightforward on their site; I found the plan I needed easily. Setup was mostly automated, and the server came pre-configured with cPanel, which saved me a lot of time. Performance has been excellent, with noticeable speed improvements over my old host, likely due to the NVMe storage and LiteSpeed. I tested their support once with a question about an SSL Certificate, and they responded within an hour, resolving it quickly. The only minor point was the initial email with login details took a few minutes to arrive after payment, but once it did, everything was accessible. JetBackup is a great inclusion for peace of mind. Overall, a very positive experience; definitely worth considering if you need a reliable VPS.

Thinking of migrating my WordPress site to Hostmantis. Currently on SiteGround but their prices are getting a bit steep. How easy is the migration process with Hostmantis? Do they help with it?

S Sumanth 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I migrated a few months ago from Bluehost. They have a migration service, just open a ticket after you sign up. It was pretty smooth for me, took about 24 hours.

Nice, that's reassuring.

N NikhilS 3 weeks ago
Oh, that's good to hear. Did you have any downtime during the transfer?
7
S Sumanth 3 weeks ago
Minimal, maybe an hour or two max when the DNS propagated. They handled everything else.

P PoojaR 3 weeks ago
Mine was a manual migration with Softaculous, which they provide. If your site isn't too complicated, it's pretty straightforward. Just backup everything first!

G gamerraj 3 weeks ago
Yeah, Softaculous is a lifesaver for WP installs.

Good tip on the backup. Always crucial.

I've heard they're generally good with WordPress. What plan are you looking at? Shared or something more?

Probably NVMe Shared Hosting to start. My site isn't super high traffic.

Finally switched from another provider yesterday to HostMantis for my small business site. Got the Managed VPS Hosting. Setup was pretty smooth, but still navigating the cPanel options. Hoping the performance lives up to the hype.

D Deepak91 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I moved my e-commerce site to their Enterprise Hosting last year during Black Friday. The speed difference was noticeable, especially during peak traffic. Their 24/7 support is actually 24/7 too, which is nice.

That's good to know about the support. I had a few questions during migration and they were quick.

N NikhilS 4 weeks ago
Black Friday deals are usually the best time to jump on their higher-tier plans.

Managed VPS is a good choice. I'm on unmanaged and sometimes wish I went with managed just for the extra hand-holding. What control panel did you get?
5
R RahulS 4 weeks ago
It came with cPanel. I'm used to it but still figuring out some of the VPS specific settings.

P PriyaK 4 weeks ago
Congrats on the switch! I've been with them for about a year on a Shared Hosting plan and haven't had any major issues. The LiteSpeed web server definitely makes a difference.

R RahulS 4 weeks ago
Glad to hear that. Any tips for optimizing WordPress on their VPS?

JetBackup is a lifesaver, make sure you set it up. Also, Imunify360 for security is pretty solid.

Renewal price for my shared hosting plan just hit my inbox and it's quite a bit higher than what I paid last year. Anyone else seeing this with Hostmantis?

A AnjaliM 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Mine was actually okay, but I signed up for annual billing from the start. I think they give a better rate for that. Maybe check if switching to annual for next year helps?
11
P PriyaS 1 month ago
That's a smart move. I'm month-to-month right now, so that could definitely be a factor.
5
R Rahul87 1 month ago
I'll keep that in mind for my next renewal.
4
T techfreak 1 month ago
Definitely. Annual billing discounts are pretty common across most hosts.
3
R Rahul87 1 month ago
Yeah, mine went up too. I was on a promo rate for the first year and the renewal jumped to the regular price. Kinda expected it but still stings a bit.
12
D DeepakK 1 month ago
Same here. Did you try contacting support about it? Sometimes they offer a small discount if you ask.
6
P PriyaS 1 month ago
Good point. I've heard that can work for some providers. Worth a shot.

Following. My renewal is coming up in a couple of months and I'm curious if this is a widespread thing or just specific plans.

Seems like it's mainly when a promo ends, from what I gather.

My shared hosting plan renewal is coming up with HostMantis and the price jump is a bit more than I expected. Anyone know if they offer recurring discount codes for existing customers or is it mostly new customer offers?

P PoojaR 4 days ago ✓ Best Answer
Sometimes if you switch to annual billing instead of monthly, you get a built-in discount. Check if that option makes sense for you.
10
K Kumar88 4 days ago
That's how I usually get a better rate too. Works for me.

S Sneha22 4 days ago
Oh, that's a good point! I'm currently on monthly. Will check the annual pricing differences. Thanks!

Following. My renewal is also due next month. Was hoping for a recurring discount code but haven't found any that work for existing accounts.

G GauravJ 4 days ago
I think the Black Friday sale is the best bet, but that's a while away.
2
S Sneha22 4 days ago
Same here. Let me know if you find anything!
4
R RajeshK 4 days ago
I've tried asking support for a renewal discount before and they usually say no, or offer a small one-time thing if you push hard. Most of their good deals seem to be for new sign-ups, especially during sales like Cyber Monday.

S Sneha22 4 days ago
Yeah, that's what I figured. Kind of annoying when loyal customers don't get the same perks.

Does Hostmantis offer a money-back guarantee? What if I try it and it's not working for my project?

S Sarah B. 2 months ago
Yep, they do. I remember seeing it when I signed up, you get a certain window to cancel for a refund. Can't recall the exact days off the top of my head though.
4
G Greg 2 months ago
Yeah, pretty sure it's a 30-day money-back guarantee on most services. Just make sure to read the fine print before you commit.

Hey, do these guys ever have sales for existing customers? I'm looking to upgrade my VPS plan.

C Cleo N. 2 months ago
I think sometimes they do renewal discounts, especially around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, but it's usually more for new sign-ups. You might have to keep an eye out.
1
B Brett Doyle 2 months ago
Not super often, honestly. Most of their best deals are for new customers. I'd check their site around holidays, that's when I've seen some recurring promos before.

I'm looking at their managed VPS, but I'm in Atlanta. How's the latency from their server locations to the US southeast?

I Ivy Romero 2 months ago
They have servers in the US, Netherlands, and Singapore. So if you pick the US location, you should be totally fine in Atlanta. Mine's in Europe and it's good for my audience over there.

L Laura C. 2 months ago
I'm on the west coast and picked a US server, latency is great for me. If they have a US datacenter, Atlanta should be no problem at all.

Thinking of switching to Hostmantis from Namecheap. Anyone have experience with their NVMe shared hosting, is it actually faster?

A Andre Silva 2 months ago
Yeah, I moved my WordPress site from Namecheap to Hostmantis a few months back. Definitely noticed a speed bump, especially on page load times. The NVMe stuff seems legit.
4
I Ivy 2 months ago
I'm on their shared NVMe too. It's solid, way snappier than my old host (not Namecheap though). Plus, they have LiteSpeed which makes a big difference.
